language learner identity

 I was born in Dominican Republic and the language i learned as a little kid was Spanish. Spanish is my first language ever learned  from my parents. In my country the only language the teach us in school was Spanish, but English was also taught in private school. I never got the chance of learning it because of financial needs. Latter on when i was 11 years old i moved to New York with my family. Coming to this country was a big change in my life. It took me a while to learned english.To live in this country you need to learn english and it was the harder language to learn it. I never learn another language in ma life only 2. Now enrolling to college at La Guardia Community College I'm still learning more english and improving it. Another language i would like to learn is side language. My reading ability i think is good but i need to work on it a lot more , also improving my vocabulary is one of my goal. Another goal is my improving on writing a  lot better i can tell I'm improving more and more everyday i write and i learn more from my mistake. English and Spanish are the only 2 languages i know now I could write both of them almost the same and maybe have the same mistakes. Improving on both of my language and maybe learning more latter on.
